I have been a family photographer in Cambridge for the past 14 years. When you do anything for that long I think you sort of get used to doing things the way you've always done them and you hang out there in your comfort zone.
My comfort zone has always been golden hour. That lovely time before sunset when everything just comes alive and the light is so soft and forgiving. BUT. That doesn't always work for clients.
When I photograph families with young children that golden hour (especially in the summer) is just too late. So we have to work in the morning. GASP. In the MORNING?!? Used to scare me. But I'm here to tell you no more. That morning even light is so soft and pretty as well. You just have to know how to use it. So here it is. My family portrait session shot at 10:00am on a Sunny Saturday morning. I'm not afraid of you anymore. :)
